Six equal sides. Six 120° angles. The ultimate shape challenge.
The regular hexagon is the most complex shape in Draw the Perfect Circle, and drawing one freehand is a true test of geometric intuition. With six sides and six vertices to manage, every slight imperfection compounds. Hexagons appear everywhere in nature — honeycombs, snowflakes, basalt columns — but recreating their mathematical perfection by hand is a different story.
Hexagons are special in geometry: they're one of only three regular polygons that can tile a plane perfectly (along with triangles and squares). Bees build hexagonal honeycombs because hexagons enclose the maximum area with the minimum perimeter — the most efficient shape for storage. This mathematical elegance makes them beautiful to look at, but challenging to draw.
Drawing a hexagon requires managing six straight edges and six 120° angle turns — the most direction changes of any shape mode. Your brain needs to divide a circle into six equal parts, which is less intuitive than the 4-way split of a square or 3-way split of a triangle. Most players find hexagons significantly harder than other shapes.
In our shape difficulty ranking, hexagons are the hardest for most players. Average scores tend to be 5-10% lower than circle scores. If you can score above 80% on a hexagon, you're in truly elite territory. Try all four shapes and see how you compare: circle, square, triangle, and hexagon.
